Arty-Fact: Published in 2008, “Wink” is from Sir Peter Blake’s 12-piece Replay Portfolio. The portfolio is a collection of Blake's pop art work from the 1960s, and features motifs and famous faces that dominated his work during that period. The bright colours, bold patterns and simplistic compositions of pop art are heavily present in Replay, as are 60s pop culture icons like Marilyn Monroe, Kim Novak, Lavern Baker and Billy Rainbow.

“Wink” features a magazine cover depicting a typical cover girl from this era. The artist’s work has often been a comment on women as objects of desire, and the role they play in popular culture.
