Arty-Fact: Tanaami Keiichi (born 1936 in Tokyo) is one of the leading pop artists of postwar Japan, and has been active as a multi-genre artist since the 1960's as a graphic designer, illustrator, video artist and fine artist.
Alvin Tan, Melvin Chee, Jackson Tan and William Chan make up PHUNK, a Singapore based contemporary art and design collective. Born in 1994, when its members were students at LASALLE College of the Arts, PHUNK studio has been described as "The Champion of Singapore's Graphic Scene" (Creative Review, UK). PHUNK's distinctive portfolio of work blends traditional Chinese craft and folklore, Hong Kong's wuxia fiction, Japanese manga and otaku subculture with Western popular culture.
In 2010, Keichii Tanaami and PHUNK collaborated to create a visual feast that integrated each of their motifs and characters.
