Check your plumbing Addictees!
You’d think $8 million apartments don't leak - but they do Addictees, they do. The SoHo apartment of former Twitter CEO Dick Costolo turned on the waterworks and dripped through the ceiling of artist Dorothea Rockburne. One hundred and seventy-six (we spelt it out for added drama) artworks were damaged. The result? A $2 million lawsuit against Dick because he let the leak continue for 5 hours. The moral of the story? Shit happens, so insure your artwork. No more borrowing sugar for you, Dick.
On that note, welcome to this week’s Weekend Art Fix. These works were created a little closer to home. Say hello to Singaporean artist, Koeh Sia Yong and Malaysian artist, Yeo Siak Goon.
