Step into the enchanting intersection of fashion and art, where the Chanel brand dances gracefully with creativity.
The brand's influence seamlessly weaves through the tapestry of artistic expression, leaving an indelible mark with sophistication, sass and a stylish wink.
All hail the double-C logo!
Jamie created a collection of Chanel images that questions a cultural obsession with excessive branding. Jamie collaborated with artist Dylan Egon to create custom faux Chanel pieces. In contrast, Anna Katsanis styled the series using authentic Chanel, inviting the viewer to guess what is real and what is faux. The images illustrate how a simple logo cultivated over time can hypnotise society.
Jamie parodies the absurdities of brand obsession and logo consumption, from a microscopic Chanel eye-booger to a fully Chanel tattooed face—even a Chanel handgun. Jamie questions how far we take our logo-laden identities—spending exorbitant money on anything and everything adorned with a fashion symbol.
Anyway, what if, in the end, it was all a farce and proven to be faux all along?
And one for the ages!
Chanel No. 5, printed under the auspices of the estate of Andy Warhol, comes from the artist's Ads Portfolio.
Created by Ernest Beaux for Coco Chanel in 1921, Chanel No. 5 became synonymous with sophistication and luxury, two qualities Andy Warhol hoped to instil in his work.
Today, Chanel perfume remains a household name, just as it was during the Warhol era. In 1997, Chanel revisited the image, with the Warhol Foundation's permission, for use in an advertising campaign that year. The rich blue, red, gold and green hues bring this simple rectangular bottle to life. The Chanel No. 5 perfume bottle stands alone as an iconic design.
Many of these posters appeared on buses and public transportation throughout Paris. It is not known how many were printed or how many remain today, but this gorgeous suite of four French vintage posters remains highly desirable.

Until the next one Addictees, even art can be haute couture…
