Arty-Fact: Van Dinh Quan's art is primarily concerned with Buddhist spirituality and Vietnamese sensuality. His figurative paintings are often composed of gentle flowing lines which set him apart from his predecessors. Bold yet gentle, these lines embody the figures he paints. These figures are usually surrounded by a soft abstract background. It is here where his soul is to be found. The layers are deep and translucent and gently introduce a spiritual world hidden by his figures. [His] paintings vibrate with a strong sense of mystery, charm and enchantment.
"Young Girl" is a beautiful example of his technique.
