Arty-Fact: Pure Evil’s fanged bunny isn’t just a trademark - it’s rooted in remorse. As a child, he shot a rabbit and later transformed that guilt into an enduring street icon. The bunny is also tactical: quick to paint when moving fast through the streets.
On March 25, 1958, at the Fort Chaffee barbershop in Arkansas, Elvis Presley traded his signature pompadour for a regulation buzz cut shortly after being inducted into the U.S. Army. The haircut, carried out by barber James Peterson, was televised and widely photographed - a defining pop-culture moment.
The barbershop was later preserved as a museum, complete with the original chair and a 65-cent charge still displayed on the register. A lock of hair from that era has since sold for more than $115,000.
