Arty-Fact: Many American visitors to the Prêt â Porter show discovered and bought Razzia’a poster. With a new set of international eyes focused on Razzia, it wasn’t long before an American firm, Bloomingdales, approached him with an offer. They wanted to purchase the rights of his Deauville design, one he had made when researching ideas for an image for the city, which was hosting the annual American Film Festival. The poster was already a success. They wanted to use the image on one of their beach towels. Accepting the offer, Razzia made his first trip to the United States.
