Australian Nathan Paddison is a multi-award-winning contemporary artist. His paintings are experiential, raw and drawn from a troubled past. His strong lines and approach to a palette meld closely with the physicality and urgency in which he works. Gestural marks and an indistinct language known to the artist form an expressionistic dialogue. The impatience and powerful language in Nathan's work are akin to compulsion rather than task.
"I believe that working in a single medium restricts my artistic process. I use many mediums such as acrylics, enamel, fabric, newspaper, marker and pastels. Each idea manifests in its style. I don't know the result until it shows me and comes to life.
