‘Omnissiah Atoqtron Osal’ by Agent X
Welcome to the future!
Warhammer 40,000 (informally known as Warhammer 40K, WH40K or simply 40K) is a tabletop miniature war game produced by Games Workshop. The game takes place in a science fantasy universe , whose extreme dystopianism inspired the word "grimdark" – from the game's tagline, "In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war".
The story line is set in the 41st millennium, i.e. some 20,000 years in the future. Humans have settled more than a million worlds across the galaxy, most of which are ruled by the Imperium of Man, a brutal theocratic regime united in its worship of the immortal God-Emperor of Mankind - the Omnissiah, a physical avatar of the Machine God. Despite its size and power, the Imperium teeters on the brink of collapse due to a combination of escalating war, corruption, bureaucratic inefficiency and technological stagnation.

‘Omnissiah Atoqtron Osal’ by Agent X is an artistic interpretation of the interplay between the Machine God, the Tech-Priests and Servants that believe knowledge is the manifestation of divinity in the universe. The supreme object of their devotion is the ‘Omnissiahant’ Machine God that governs all technology, machinery and knowledge of creation.
And people think Dungeons & Dragons is complicated...
